But when the doll awakens the room's evil spirits, it soon becomes an unholy night of terror for the couple's 10-year-old daughter, her friends and their young baby sitter. The final girl has always been a staple of horror movies. Was it especially empowering to have three young women stand up to the monsters? I didn't want them all to be incapacitated so it was nice that they work together to sort of vanquish the evil, and Judy picking up the mantle of her parents.
